A few months ago, I began my online fitness training to become a certified personal trainer. Since we had our wedding this past summer (July), my studies were put on the back burner for a couple of months because I was busy trying to plan and get everything organized. I’m now back on track and am about 30% of the way through the program. I have been learning so much and it’s so exciting to learn about the proper ways to eat and train to promote great overall health.
Since I’m currently a work at home mom (with 4 children), I didn’t enroll in the online fitness training program in order to work with clients directly. I enrolled simply because my passion is fitness and wanting to know everything about living a healthy lifestyle. Since I have already set up this fitness blog to document my entire post-pregnancy fitness journey, I also wanted to learn more so that I would have more to write about here to share with you.
I’m not sure exactly when I will finish the program since it’s entirely self-paced, but I hope to be done by my next birthday – giving me until March 25, 2010. That gives me a little over 5 months to complete my studies and get my certification. If you are interested in becoming a certified personal trainer, either just for personal enrichment or to change careers and would like to do it at your own pace, on your own time, I highly recommend Penn Foster (Not an affiliate link). I have been so happy with my studies there. After I have completed my studies and received my certification, I will write a full, honest review of Penn Foster here on this blog.
If there is anything you’d like to see on this blog that you currently don’t see, shoot me an email using the Contact MFB page and I’ll see what I can do to accommodate your request.
