I've never been a huge fan of pop (I'm from Minnesota...I just can't refer to it as soda - LOL!), but I have cut back on all types of drinks except for water. Water is my go-to drink. When I was younger, I never appreciated it as much as I do now.

I don't even do skim milk any more. I use calcium supplements along with cheese and just make sure to drink lots of water.

Moving away from all sodas and loading up on water has helped my energy level greatly.

I love skim milk, and like you I get up on 2%. When I moved out on my own I used 1% but only recently have I switched to skim. :)
It also seems to get colder than the other fattier milks! <3 cold milk.

I know there are healthier options available, I just haven't looked into everything quite yet. Thank you for offering advice. :)

Go Almond milk. for sure. you'll get the good fats your body needs, much lower calories, no cholesterol, just all around a better and smart choice.

Fat most definitely is good for the body but I don't count on milk in order to get it. I get fats (those that are healthy and NOT saturated) from other sources such as nuts, olive oil and omega 3 fatty acids - like those found in fish.
