To look like Jamie Eason would mean perfection in the eyes of many women. It’s obviously clear that the girl knows what she’s doing. From Houston Texans cheerleader to fitness model pro Jamie Eason is an athlete to reckon with. She has battled back from breast cancer which she says was the turning point in her life. She was never really overweight, but she was what she calls “skinny fat” and has now completely changed her eating habits and implements a regular workout regimen and now at the age of 34 she’s in the best shape (and health) of her life.
I’m a loyal subscriber to Oxygen Magazine and Jamie Eason has her own column in the mag which is where I first began to learn about her. I’m also a regular shopper at Bodybuilding.com where I often saw articles written by her as well and it turns out that she happens to be a spokesperson for the supplement giant. I’m also a fan of hers on Facebook, or wait…they changed that so I guess I should say I “like” her. She is always communicating health and fitness information through her status updates and she’s always answering questions from her “likers”.
I normally try to emulate fitness models that are approximately the same height as I am, Eason is a full 5 inches shorter than myself but I look up to her because she is so dedicated to eating clean and working out on a regular basis plus she is a writer which is exactly what I do for a living. I write.
She recently posted her entire weekly workout split on her Facebook page and I was ecstatic. I immediately copied it and printed it out and hung it up in our basement right above the stereo.
The split is basically this:
- Monday: Back, cardio
- Tuesday: Shoulders, cardio
- Wednesday: Legs (Quads & Calves), cardio
- Thursday: Cardio of Choice
- Friday: Arms, chest & abs (with partner if possible)
- Saturday: Legs (Hams and Calves) & Glutes, cardio
- Sunday: REST!
As you can see it’s a pretty advanced workout and I can definitely admit that I’m not on her level…yet. Over the past week I have attempted to follow it and I must say that I am a full 2 days behind schedule. I expected this because she is obviously performing at a higher level but nevertheless, I wanted to try the workout that she herself, posted. It’s honestly not much different than other workouts I’ve done but she implements drop sets which I’ve just began to dabble with recently and I love the cardio schedule as well.
I plan on following this routine for the next few weeks to see how much I can improve on it. If you want more specifics you can visit her FB page and watch for daily workout posts right here on my blog. With that said, I’m behind on my cardio for today and my iPod is done charging so I guess that means I should get moving!
I would love to hear about any particular fitness models that you look up to as well. Comments are always appreciated.

I’m loving this workout! Since I started Jamie’s workout, I have noticed some significant gains and I’m thrilled!
Jamie is an amazing role model. After I have my baby and can resume my hard core workouts again, I will be happy. She is such an inspiration & I love that she shares so much workout advice with the public!
Melinda,
It’s been awhile since you posted this, however I just stumbled apon it and am curious are you still training? If so, please email me, I’m a huge fan and a personal trainer!
Hi Amy,
I am still training. I actually just started Jamie’s LiveFit Trainer this week – I’m on day 3 and loving it!
