Is Your Body Bikini-Ready?

Bikini Ready BodySpring is right around the corner now and Summer will be here before you know it! During the cooler months of the year, your body has been covered up with warm clothing. Removing those layers now might just reveal a body that isn’t quite worthy of that new swimsuit you’ve been eyeballing. Now isn’t the time to fret though, simply analyze and think about which parts of your body need help and get to work.

If you’ve been working your ass off all winter and there still seems to be some flab that’s interested in sticking around forever, try some exercises that will tone and firm those problem areas. If you still don’t like what you see, it may be time to restrict calories a bit further or start doing cardio more often or for longer bouts of time.

If you’ve analyzed your body and determined that you need to firm up abs, arms and thighs, then it’s time to find specific exercises that will work and tone those areas for you. If there’s a layer of fat covering a muscle or muscle group, the fat will need to disappear before you’ll notice much of any toning going on. Even though strength training exercises will tone and firm muscles, they won’t be noticed if there’s fat covering them. You can find conditioning exercises and complete workouts right here on my fitness blog. I document each and every workout that I do here. If they can work for me, they can work for you. If you notice they aren’t working, it’s likely you need to adjust your diet and/or do more cardio.

The time has come to get out the dumbbells, exercise ball, jumprope and sneakers and use them to your benefit. Although strength training will help you get to the body shape you desire, it’s important to also perform cardio regularly to burn off excess calories and keep the fat from hanging around.

Drinking water is always important during a workout. It not only keeps the body hydrated, it also helps flush toxins from your body and can help keep cellulite at bay. Staying hydrated during the warmer months takes some additional effort, so be sure to always keep water nearby.

If these tips are followed, your body will be bikini-ready in no time. All you need to do now is put the effort in and the results will be seen. The harder you work, the faster you’ll see results.
Best of luck to you – you can do it!

  1. I am definitely working to get in bikini body shape for the summer! Really I am just looking to tone up more. One of my tricks that helps to see fast results is to drink 3 L of water a day.
