Get Rid of Love Handles Now

Ahhhhh love handles. They suck. It definitely isn’t impossible to get rid of love handles, but it is probably one of the toughest areas to improve. A combination of a healthy, balanced diet, strength training exercises and regular cardio activity will help to get rid of love handles.

To get rid of love handles, here are some specific things that you can do that are guaranteed to work:

  • Following a healthy diet. This is an important step to get rid of love handles. It’s important to watch the foods you’re eating because you won’t see the best possible results with just exercise alone. If you aren’t sure what consists of a healthy diet, focus on fresh fruits and vegetables, minimize or avoid processed foods, get the recommended amount of protein and fiber in your diet each day, etc. The Eat Clean Diet Cookbook by Tosca Reno is a fabulous resource if you’re at a loss as far as which foods will help you to lose weight and get rid of love handles.
  • Strength training exercises. These type of moves will help you build muscle which will help your body burn more fat. There is no way to target fat loss on your body, but you will burn more fat all over your body by building lean muscle. Some great exercises include: Dumbbell bench press, squats, lunges, deadlifts, hammer curls, straight arm pushdowns, hanging leg raises and more. Be sure to target each muscle group with 3-4 exercises.
  • Run! I’ll be the first person to tell you that I hate cardio. I absolutely hate it. But what has kept me motivated, is the fact that I’ve lost 2 inches off of my waist by incorporating cardio interval training. The routine that I do that has worked for me includes sprinting for 30 seconds (you need to run as fast as you can) and then walk at a moderate pace for 90 seconds. I use a treadmill so I’ll sprint at 9mph and walk at between 3.5 and 4.0 mph. The key to this being effective is that during the sprinting intervals, you need to run as fast as you can. Being that it’s only 30 seconds makes it kind of easy, but you’ll be amazed at how much you start to sweat after repeating the intervals for 20 minutes. This type of cardio activity will get rid of love handles in no time. I’m not just saying this, I know because it’s working for me!

If you follow these simple steps for 2 weeks, you will notice a difference. Even more so after a 4 week period. You’ll be well on your way to no more love handles!
