Fat Loss Program: The Workout that Really Works

The only fat loss program that I have tried that has really been working for me is actually a treadmill workout. This week I have started doing HIIT (high intensity interval training) again and am already seeing changes in my body. My waist feels smaller, the back fat from my pregnancies is diminishing and I’ve lost over 1 pound!

Intervals of slow fast and fast pace burn mega amounts of fat because you’re not only burning fat while you’re running, but for up to a few hours after you finish your workout. With steady state cardio, you only burn fat and calories while you workout.

Here is the exact fat loss program I’ve been doing on my treadmill:

Warmup – 3 minutes @ 4 mph

Sprint interval – 30 seconds @ 9+ mph

Recovery period – 90 seconds @ 4 mph

Repeat for 8 sprinting intervals

Cool down – 1 minute @ 4 mph

This is a complete workout and it only takes 20 minutes! If you feel like you’re going to die at the end of the 2o minutes then you know you pushed hard enough. Yesterday I decided to try to add 1 more sprinting interval and it’s the closest I have ever come to throwing up post workout. It’s intense, but it works. You’re really only sprinting for a total of 4 minutes – the sprinting intervals are hell, but if you can make it through, you’ll be burning up the fat and noticing the changes in no time. It seriously works.
