Christmas is Over…on to the New Year!
First of all, I hope you had a fabulous Christmas! What a busy, busy weekend this one was for my family. After going to 3 Christmases in 4 days, I can tell you I’m completely exhausted. And somewhere along the way we managed to build and decorate a gingerbread house village. Our kids sure did collect some great gifts, along with my husband and I, but I’m happy the festivities have come to an end. The only day this weekend that we didn’t have to go anywhere or prep for anything was Saturday and the kids were running around tearing into toys and games, playing with them for 3 seconds before tearing into the next one. I’m looking forward to a much more relaxing week this week.
Also, I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t had a workout since December 16th. That is an incredibly long time for me to go without a single workout – not even cardio. Needless to say…I will be getting back on track this week for sure. It’s okay to have a break every now and then, but I didn’t mean for it to be such a long break. It’s not that I wasn’t active at all though, we got a huge Christmas snowstorm which was absolutely beautiful so we ended up shoveling 2 or 3 times and I made sure to make smart choices about eating in order to avoid holiday weight gain. My weight has remained fairly steady which I’m extremely pleased about, but it’s time to jump back on the horse. My body needs to workout and my mind needs a workout.
During the next few days I’ll be thinking about my plans and goals for the new year and how I plan to follow a plan to meet my goals. I will be sharing a post about it with you as soon as I complete it. I’m hoping for Wednesday of this week. Can you believe the new year is almost here already? It’s insane.
