4/21: BodyForLife Cardio Workout

Okay, so today was a bit ridiculous. Normally before I run, I chow down some carbs and then will usually wait at least 45 minutes before running. Well for some reason today, I think I just went down to run not even a half hour after I ate. I have no idea why, but I was miserable anytime my running got over 7 mph – so I didn’t do any sprints today. I would get heartburn and feel like I was going to vomit. I still burned 413 calories so I can’t be too pissy about it. :o )

Here’s the interval workout I did:

  • Warmup at 4 mph for 2 minutes
  • Lightly jog at 5 mph for 1 minute
  • Fast jog at 6 mph for 1 minute
  • Run at 7 mph for 1 minute
  • Walk at 4 mph for 1 minute
  • Lightly jog at 5 mph for 1 minute
  • Repeat, etc etc. for 25 minutes
  • Cool down at 4 mph for 5 minutes

Wait at least 45 minutes to an hour to do cardio after eating. Especially applesauce!
