Today’s workout pissed me off. I don’t know why but the past 3 weeks I’ve been flat benching 85# and it feels as if it’s getting harder each week. Shouldn’t that be the opposite?? Usually that happens to be the case, but not as of late. I feel like I’m stuck at 85 pounds. Today on my first set, I could barely get the 4th rep up. The first week I did this chest workout, I didn’t start to really struggle like that until the end of my 3rd set.
So for today, I lightened the weight and added 2 reps instead. Whenever I have to lower the weight like that, I really struggle with it. I think I’m getting somewhat bored with my chest workout already so I might be changing it up next week. I loved my back workout today though! Good stuff.
Chest Workout
Flat Bench Press
- Warm up set: 1 x 35#
- 1 set x 4 reps, 85#
- 3 sets x 6 reps, 75#
Incline Dumbbell Press
- 4 sets x 10 reps, 20#
Pullover
- 3 sets x 20 reps, 20#
Back Workout
Dual Arm Bent Row
- 4 sets x 10 reps, 15#
Incline Dual Arm Row
- 4 sets x 15 reps, 10#
Lat Pulldowns
- 4 sets x 12 reps, 50#
Time to stuff my face with some sketty now. It’s getting really late to be eating so many carbs, but sketty is soooooo good! Then it’s time to watch ‘Biggest Loser’ and ‘Parenthood’.
