3/7 Workout: Heavy Legs!

dumbbellsAnother heavy leg day! I had to skip working out yesterday and did legs today instead. I plan on doing some cardio tomorrow since everything got twisted around this weekend. My legs are way too tired now to have even attempted a run at doing some cardio today too.

My husband picked up the squat rack he made yesterday so we got to use it today for our leg workouts and it’s so much better than what we were doing before! We also saved hundreds of dollars by him making it and it looks just like one you’d find in a gym. Can’t complain about not having to pay for gym memberships!

Leg Workout

Squats

  • Warm-up: 1 set x 15 reps, 35#
  • 4 sets x 8 reps, 90#

Deadlifts

  • Warm-up: 1 set x 15 reps, 35#
  • 4 sets x 8 reps, 105#

Leg Extensions

  • 4 sets x 8 reps, 70#

This workout is exactly the same leg workout done last week, but I was able to push out two additional reps for each exercise. For my next leg day, I’ll probably up the weight again – always a great feeling! =)

I hope your weekend was fabulous, here’s to a great upcoming week!

All the best,

Melinda

Melinda, your website is great. I am currently just starting an online business of personal training and doing some in home personal training around the Cincinnati, Ohio Area. Your information is great! I hope one day my site can become as informative and inspirational as yours. I love your workouts and have been getting ideas for mine. Thanks so much.

No problemo! Thanks for stopping by Katie, I’m glad you like the workouts. Good luck with your online personal training business! I hope to start one as soon as I become certified myself – still working on it. :)
