Earlier this week I started a new workout program where I decided that I’ll continue to do strength training Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and cardio at least 3 days per week. I normally do cardio on two strength training days and I skip it on leg day and do it the following day.
Today I decided to do arms: both biceps and triceps. I can tell it was a good workout because my arms feel like jell-o and while I was working out, it felt like they were on fire. =)
Originally I had also planned to do shoulders, but I’ll just continue to do those on leg day. I skipped cardio today, I’m going to do it tomorrow morning instead!
Biceps Workout
Preacher Curls (with EZ bar)
- 4 sets x 15 reps, 15#
EZ Bar Curls
- 4 sets x 15 reps, 15#
Hammer Curls
- 4 sets x 15 reps, 8# dumbbells
Triceps Workout
Lying Tricep Extensions (Skullcrushers)
- 4 sets x 15 reps, 20# (EZ bar)
Kickbacks
- 4 sets x 15 reps, 8# dumbbells
I’ll be doing a cardio workout tomorrow and will post it here shortly afterwards.
All the Best,
Melinda

Great workout… does the 15# mean 15 pounds?
Thanks!! And yes, for me on this blog, # is pounds.
I believe that the workout plan is just eligible for female, especially for those wish to tone up their body shape right?
Hi Jason,
Men and women can perform the same exercises. This particular workout is for toning muscles. For building muscle and strength, a greater amount of weight is used with a lower number of reps. Hope that helps!
