12/9: Steady State Cardio + Ab Workout
Today’s workout only consisted of steady state cardio and a small ab workout. Going into this workout, I thought about nixing the strength training portion today and just running for as long as I could. So that’s what I did. I ran until I basically ran out of energy and felt like I was going to pass out. Starting next week the current workout I’m doing says to run steady state cardio for 45 minutes so I wanted to try and build up to that before I’m actually supposed to do it.
So today I ran for 35 minutes straight which is the longest I’ve run in my entire life I think. I’m actually starting to like cardio though and it’s starting to feel a little easier to run for long periods of time. The challenge for me is to keep steady cardio a regular part of my fitness program. It’s starting to feel more like a habit too so I think I’ll be able to do it!

Ab Workout
- Weighted Crunches: 8# dumbbell, 3 sets x 25 reps
Treadmill Cardio Workout
- 2 minute warm-up @ 4 mph
- 35 minute jog/run @ 5.4 mph
- 5 minute cool-down @ 4 mph
