Today I got a kick ass workout in! A couple days ago, I felt so fatigued during my workout and I was getting upset because I couldn’t lift what I normally do. It seemed to take a lot more effort. I checked with My Fitness Pal and SparkPeople to calculate the calories I should be taking in to maintain my current weight and it ended up being 300-400 more than I was eating. Eating those extra calories today made a huge difference in today’s workout!
If you want to friend me on SparkPeople, my user ID is Melinda_F. I would be happy to link up there. I’m still learning my way around SparkPeople, it’s more like a community than My Fitness Pal, but MFP is more basic and easier for me to navigate. I will compare the two in more detail in an upcoming post.

This cardio workout was really tough for me and I know it’s because I haven’t run in over a week. I set out wanting to run for 20 minutes, then once I was coming up on 20 minutes, I decided to go for 25 minutes. Then I started thinking about this blog and that really helped to push me and I was able to jog for the entire 30 minutes.
Friday is almost here and I have a great guest video post for you tomorrow, I hope you enjoy it!

Hi, I’ve just started reading your blog. I haven’t began looking through previous post yet but this entry is really motivating to me. Judging by your stats, I am nowhere near yours but I do aspire to get that far. I haven’t incorporated any weight training but soon after I gain more mileage in less time I will. I really hope I could do a jog 5.5mph in a half hour. For me right that’s running. Slowly but surely. I’m training for a 10K right now and progress is slow. Congrats, very inspiring indeed.
Best of luck training for the upcoming 10k! Just keep working at it, even if the progress is slow – you can do it! =)
Thanks so much for the encouragement
