1/21 Workout: Chest, Triceps & Cardio
The photo in this post really has nothing to do with my workout today in any way but it’s Adrian Peterson and my Vikings are in the NFC Championship game this coming Sunday so I’m showing my team spirit!
I realized today that I completely skipped shoulders. For my last workout I did back and biceps and I was supposed to do shoulders. Whoops! So I’m just going to skip them this week.
Today I did a chest workout, a triceps workout and I followed that up with HIIT and steady state cardio. I am POOPED!
Chest Workout
- Flat Bench Press: 4 sets x 5 reps, 70#
- Incline Bench Press: 4 sets x 5 reps, 55#
Triceps Workout
- Wide Grip Pressdown: 3 sets x 15 reps, 25#
- Skull Crushers: 3 sets x 12 reps, 10# (I haven’t done these before but I love them and will be doing lots of them in the future!)
HIIT Workout
- 2 minute warm up @ 4 mph
- 30 second sprints @ 9 mph/30 second walk @ 4 mph for 10 minutes
Steady State Cardio
- 10 minutes @ 5.5 mph
- 3 minute cool down @ 4 mph
Total Time: 25 minutes
Total Distance: 2.330 miles
Total Calories Burned: 271
All in all this was a great workout and I cannot wait to eat dinner, then curl up in my bed and go to sleep. My legs are tired, my arms are tired and I know my chest will be sore in the morning!
