11/9 Workout: Full Body Workout + Cardio

It’s Monday. Blah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was hard to get the motivation to workout today. I watched Ellen on the Oprah show today for some laughs and then I was good to go. Gotta love Ellen! My husband broke his thumb today so there was no way he was going to workout.

I ended up doing a full body workout except for that I cut out the entire leg portion, which were the one quad exercise and one hamstring exercise. Reason being, my quads were feeling a bit tight today. I did do a little bit of cardio at the end of my workout, more on that below.

Full Body Workout:

Chest – Flye: 8# dumbbells

Shoulders – Lateral Raise: 2.5# plates

Back – Straight-Arm Pull Down: 25# plate

Triceps – Pressdown: 25# plate

Biceps – EZ Bar Curl: 20#

Quads – Nothing :(

Hamstrings – Nothing :(

Abs – Weighted Crunch: 8# dumbbell (moved up from a 5# dumbbell)

Cardio Workout:

Ran 1 mile – I was pretty happy with my time considering I don’t spend a whole lot of time doing anything cardio. It’s something I need to work on, I’ll be the first to admit it. I just find it so boring, which is the biggest reason why I enjoy HIIT. Even though it still consists of cardio activity, it’s a mix of walking and sprinting and the time just goes by a lot faster for me. I’m definitely no cardio bunny!

My next workout will be on Wednesday, which will be the full body workout I’ve been doing in between the 21′s workout. I’m hoping my legs will be feeling better by then since tomorrow I won’t be working them out at all.
